The Duke
The charming 18th-century country pub, which was recently acquired by new owners on November 22, is set to undergo some exciting changes. Originally composed of three cottages, this traditional pub offers ample space for patrons to enjoy a pint or two. The establishment features a separate dining area and a vibrant front bar, providing an ideal setting for both quiet meals and lively social gatherings. One of the highlights of this pub is its expansive garden at the rear. The garden, which is adorned with plenty of seating and tables, can be accessed by walking under a unique archway formed by two whale bones. This outdoor space offers a perfect spot for patrons to relax and enjoy their drinks in a serene, natural setting. In terms of beverages, the pub typically offers two or three locally brewed ales, in addition to the regular DB. This selection ensures that patrons have a variety of quality drinks to choose from. With these planned changes, the new owners aim to enhance the overall experience for patrons while preserving the pub's traditional charm and character.
