In the summer of 2013, a private investor acquired the pub from Charles Wells, transforming it into an independent establishment, or a free house. Since then, the pub has undergone extensive refurbishments, including the installation of a brand-new kitchen. The pub now serves meals during lunch and dinner, and also offers breakfast on Saturdays. The beer selection is diverse and includes a LocAle, a beer brewed locally. The pub also boasts a spacious outdoor area, equipped with nine petanque terrains and a dedicated play area for children. Conveniently, local bus routes pass directly in front of the pub, making it easily accessible for patrons. During the summer, the pub opens its doors at 12pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Additionally, the pub hosts a quiz every Thursday evening, adding an element of fun and competition to the pub's warm and welcoming atmosphere.
