Constructed primarily from regional ironstone, St Mary's is a historic structure that hails predominantly from the 14th century. The nave and chancel, integral parts of the church, were built at the onset of the century. Meanwhile, the tower and spire, which add to the church's majestic appearance, were added approximately half a century later. This architectural gem stands as a testament to the craftsmanship and architectural style of its era.
