The Castle Inn

In June 2023, the local community successfully reopened the Free House, after a determined effort to prevent its closure and conversion into a residential property. Their efforts culminated in the establishment being granted the status of an Asset of Community Value. The pub is divided into three unique sections, each warmed by the cozy ambiance of log fires. Outdoor seating is available on the side and front of the pub, with decking and tables provided for patrons to enjoy. The Free House may offer guest beers from the Dorking Brewery, adding to the local flavor. The establishment is family-friendly, welcoming both children and dogs. Additionally, free WiFi is available for all guests. Historically, the Free House was once under the ownership of the Youell & Elkin brewery of Horley, adding to its rich heritage.
