Railway Inn
This charming corner-house pub, constructed from brick in the early 1900s, boasts an open plan design that is cleverly divided into four unique areas centered around a central bar. Upon entering from the street, you are greeted by a cozy lounge on your left and a quaint 'snug' to your right. As you venture further in, you'll find the bar situated on your right and a pool room on your left, adding to the pub's inviting atmosphere. Despite its name, the Railway, the local train station and line ceased operations in the early 1930s. However, the pub continues to be a beloved local spot, known for its made-to-order pizzas and a large screen for entertainment in one of its areas. This friendly and popular locale is a testament to its enduring appeal and welcoming ambiance.
