Waterfront Inn

Welcome to our charming beachfront bar and hotel, boasting eight well-appointed en-suite bedrooms, half of which offer stunning sea views. We are a pet-friendly establishment, so feel free to bring your dogs along, but kindly mention this when making your reservation. Our property carries a rich history, previously known as the Norfolk House Hotel. It was here that the renowned Charles Darwin resided for several weeks in 1858 while penning his groundbreaking work, The Origin of Species. He was known to have spoken highly of both our hotel and the picturesque seaside town of Shanklin. We invite you and your family to join us for a delightful beach-side meal, complemented by a refreshing beer, especially during the sunny summer months. Please note that during the winter season, we close at 10pm on Sundays and Mondays.
