The site in question has been permanently closed and is currently undergoing redevelopment. The existing structures have been demolished to make way for a new Petrol Filling Station (PFS) and a 'Drive-Through' Coffee Outlet. The redevelopment plan, under the reference HPK/2021/0173, includes the construction of the petrol station, an associated convenience store, and a single drive-through unit, classified under Class E. Initially, the planning permission for this redevelopment was refused on February 16, 2022. However, upon appeal, the decision was overturned and the plan was approved on January 5, 2023, under the reference HPK/2021/0173/A. This approval paves the way for the transformation of the site into a new roadside facility that will offer fuel, convenience shopping, and drive-through coffee services to the public.
