Engine Inn
The 17th-century inn, which was renovated in 2010, is conveniently located a short distance from the station and serves as a perfect conclusion to the walk from Grange, as detailed in CAMRA's Lake District Pub Walks book. The inn offers a variety of beers, carefully chosen to cater to different tastes. On occasion, it also serves real cider from Broughton Bank. The inn features an open bar area complete with a cosy fireplace, separate rooms for those seeking a quieter atmosphere, and a riverside beer garden for those who prefer to enjoy their drinks outdoors. For those wishing to extend their stay, the inn also offers five en-suite rooms. Please note that during the winter season, the inn operates on reduced hours and food service times.
