Rising Sun
The current establishment is the fourth iteration of a pub on this location. The original structure, dating back to the 1800s, unfortunately fell victim to a fire. Its successor was then demolished in 1960, making way for a prefabricated building. This unique construction earned a spot in the Guinness Book of Records as the 'pub that was built in a day'. However, this too was taken down in 2004. The pub that stands today is a much more robust structure, constructed in the timeless brick and flint style.
