Inn with the Well

The pub boasts a unique feature - a lit 90-foot well situated in the dining room floor, safely covered with bulletproof glass. While the hand pumps may add to the traditional aesthetic, they are merely decorative. The beer is actually served directly from the cellar, utilizing gravity for a more authentic experience. Depending on the season, the pub offers one guest beer in the winter and two in the summer, with a strong emphasis on sourcing these as locally as possible. The accommodation underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2018, ensuring a comfortable and modern stay for all guests. The pub's location is ideal for those interested in exploring the Ridgeway or the Og Valley, providing a perfect base for walkers and nature enthusiasts. Please note that from November 2022 to April 2023, the pub will operate on reduced hours, opening from 4pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday. Additionally, the pub will be closed for a month, from December 31st to January 30th. We look forward to welcoming you outside of these times and providing a memorable experience.
