The following description may not be completely up-to-date. The Hare & Squirrel, a smart and well-furnished pub, is a popular spot for office workers during weekdays and early evenings. It also attracts a younger crowd on weekend evenings. However, please note that it remains closed on Sundays. The pub offers food throughout the day and features small outdoor seating areas at the back and along New Union Street. It also houses a function room upstairs, which is frequently booked by wedding guests due to its convenient location opposite the registry office. Additionally, the pub serves two guest ales that are regularly rotated to offer variety to its patrons.
