The Swan Inn
The Swan Inn, a historic establishment, traces its origins back to the medieval period. However, the structure that stands today is a reconstruction following the Sturminster Newton fire in 1721. The inn boasts a spacious single bar, furnished with traditional wooden tables and chairs. Additionally, it features cushioned window seats, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere for patrons. One of the inn's most striking features is a large inglenook fireplace situated at one end of the room, adding a touch of rustic charm. The interior design is a tasteful blend of wood paneling and exposed brickwork, with several brick pillars providing structural support to the upper floor. This combination of elements creates a warm and inviting ambiance, making The Swan Inn a unique blend of history and comfort.
