Red Lion
The Red Lion, the most ancient pub in Eynsham, has a rich history dating back to the late 16th century. Initially known as the Angel until 1750, it holds a Grade II listing and is situated in a prominent location in the main square, adjacent to St Leonard's Church. This should not be confused with the oldest building currently serving as a pub, which is the White Hart. The Red Lion, formerly under the management of Morrell's, has been under new leadership since May 2022. It's worth noting that parking in the Square is quite limited and appears to be unregulated. The available parking is shared with the church. Despite the limited parking, the Red Lion's historical charm and prime location make it a must-visit spot in Eynsham.
