It is conveniently situated along the coast-to-coast cycleway, making it a favored spot for both locals and vacationers. The pub is known for its family-friendly and dog-friendly atmosphere. Additionally, it offers televisions for sports enthusiasts to catch their favorite games. After a brief hiatus of three months, the pub was delighted to reopen its doors in April 2018. However, patrons should note that real ale was temporarily unavailable due to a change in licensee in August 2019. Thankfully, real ale was spotted again in September 2019 and may sporadically be available during the summer months.
