Divers Arms
The Divers Arms, aptly named for its maritime roots, is a charming establishment located directly on the seafront. This establishment, with its rich history dating back to the early Victorian era, was reportedly built from the earnings of one of the first divers. Today, the Divers Arms proudly showcases a collection of intriguing nautical artefacts and local memorabilia, including an antique brass diving helmet, a nod to its origins and a tribute to the neighbouring town of Whitstable where the helmet was first invented. The establishment has managed to preserve some of its original architectural features, including etched glass in the side door and front windows. Additionally, it offers an outdoor courtyard for patrons to enjoy their drinks in a relaxed, open-air setting.
