About this event
Cost £7.50/£5.00
Forbidden to leave his native Iran, Nassim Soleimanpour wrote a play which travelled the world in his place: one with no rehearsals, no director, a different actor each night, and a sealed script. Not I Theatre has gathered five young actors, comedians and theatre professionals from around London to deliver his transgressive and transformative writing.

The script – first handed to the actor as they step on stage – is performed almost completely unprepared: the actor is told only to bring a bottle of water and prepare an animal impression, and the audience is encouraged to come into the piece with as little knowledge of the night’s proceedings as possible. Out of this comes a truly immediate experience, and an atmosphere laden with precarious volatility - ultimately it is only Soleimanpour who controls the performance, and he leaves much to chance.

Not I Theatre Company is a new theatre company formed out of the London student drama scene, who aim to tell sincere stories in weird and wonderful new ways. This will be the debut production from executive producers Matthew Neubauer and Matt Aldridge.

White Rabbit Red Rabbit will be performing at the Lion and Unicorn theatre, Kentish Town at 9.30pm on the 7th-11th November. Tickets are priced at £7.50, or £5 student concession. If you are interested in reviewing the production and would like complementary tickets, please contact Matt Aldridge at matt.a@not-i.com as soon as possible.
