Book by Alfred Uhry | Music & lyrics by Jason Robert Brown | Co-conceived by Harold Prince

Parade is a passionate, moving but tragic musical which portrays a true story of murder, prejudice and media frenzy that took place 100 years ago in America's Deep South. Set against the background of the aftermath of the American Civil War and racial tension in the South, it tells the tale of a man who falls victim to a fiercely proud people struggling to cope with change, and his wife who finds the strength and love to become his greatest champion.
Accompanied by Jason Robert Brown's beautiful and moving score, the story is powerfully told and offers lessons about the dangers of prejudice, ignorance and media sensationalism that should not be forgotten.
