Adapted and directed by Tony Graham
From the book by Michael Morpurgo

The only thing Billy ever wanted to do was play for Chelsea - and his dream came true when he was signed by the club to become a champion striker for the first team.

But that was 1939. Then the Second World War began and Billy's life changed forever. Will Billy the Kid ever see his beloved Chelsea again?

A heart-warming story of football, war and dreams.

Billy the Kid is adapted by Tony Graham from the hit novel by Michael Morpurgo, former children's laureate and award-winning author of popular children's books including War Horse and Private Peaceful. This production returns to the Unicorn following a successful run in 2007 with Dudley Sutton and Sam Donovan reprising their roles as Billy and Sam.
