The Rosemary Branch Theatre presents...

THE WHITE WHORE & THE BIT PLAYER
by Tom Eyen
directed by Ken McClymont

12th - 30th January 2011

This extraordinary two-hander about the final ten seconds of a woman's life was first shown in New York at La Mama in 1964. As a woman commits suicide on her own asylum cross, two competing visions of herself, The Nun and The Whore, struggle with each other and with the inevitability of death itself.

Noted theatre director Ken McClymont directs two different interpretations of this mesmerising one hour play - the first remaining true to the original, the second a contemporary adaptation. Helen Russell-Clark (Hollyoaks, Old Vic Theatre, BAC) and Laura Pradelska (Best Actress, FringeReport Awards 2010) alternate as The Nun and The Whore, with both performances running consequetively on Press Night 13th January and other selected dates.
