Mary Cossette Productions and Hartshorn - Hook Productions present Woody Sez, a foot-stomping and heartfelt theatrical journey through the life of America's greatest ballad maker, Woody Guthrie.

Weaving together Guthrie's enduring words and songs, Woody Sez paints a powerful portrait of this revered cult figure's fascinating and often tragic life. Considered the Godfather of American folk music, Guthrie was the original protest singer fighting for and lifting up the spirits of people beaten down by the hardships of The Great Depression. This is an inspirational story of survival, unity and holding onto your beliefs in the face of adversity.

With classic Guthrie tracks including, This Land is Your Land and Bound for Glory it's easy to see why Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash both idolised him, and how his music continues to inspire some of the finest songwriters of our time, including Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison and Billy Bragg.

In the lead role, charismatic Broadway actor and recording artist David Lutken is joined by three of America's most talented multi-instrumental musicians and actors who bring Guthrie's music to life. The combination of the cast's infectious enjoyment, life affirming passion for Woody's incredible story, and a stirring mix of ballads and show stoppers make this the must-see show of the New Year.
