The E.H.P. Barnard Spring Poetry Prize

The E.H.P. Barnard Prize is looking for new poems on the theme of ~ TRAVEL ~ for inclusion in a shortlist, and to win three prizes, as judged by Ruth Beddow. Deadlines and prizes: Opens 1 February 2024, Closes 31 March 2024 (midnight) Announcements: Shortlist & Winners Sunday 26 May 2024 For poems up to 400 words. 1st Prize - £100 + a poem video, professionally performed, produced and promoted. 2nd Prize - £75 3rd Prize - £50 Entry fee - £2 per poem About the judge: Ruth Beddow is a London-based poet originally from the West Midlands. She believes everyone can write and is passionate about making the community more inclusive and accessible. Shortlisted for, amongst others, the Poetry Business New Poet's Prize and Plough Prize, Ruth delivers workshops at cultural institutions across London, including Morocco Bound Bookshop. Her debut pamphlet ‘The Thought Sits With Me' is published by Nine Pens.
