About
Acclaimed American drummer Jeff Williams, a London resident for two decades until recently, returns to the Vortex with his first project as a leader in the UK since moving abroad. He will be joined by a newly formed quartet featuring his former student, emerging saxophonist Charlie Rees, plus award-winning German bassist Niklas Lukassen and renowned Russian pianist Regina Litvinova. Performing together as a quartet for the first time, they will play the music of John Coltrane – an early salute to the legendary saxophonist's centenary (23 September 2026 would have been his 100th birthday).
