We offer a wide range of shoemaking, pattern making for bespoke footwear and leatherwork courses and classes at our workshop in Shoreditch. We've been teaching shoe making since 2006 and, over the years, we have met hundreds of wonderful people from across the globe. We quickly realised that the courses aren’t just about making, but that learning new skills, working with your hands and challenging yourself is beneficial to body, mind and soul.

We’re very proud that over the years, our courses have given students new-found confidence; started new careers; fanned an enthusiasm for making; given an appreciation for craftsmanship; and even been the catalyst to go off to do something new.

Here are a few of their comments:

"It was clear that shoemaking was not something that you can learn from a book, only through hands on instruction....I chose your course because of the quality of your shoes ...I said to myself, I want to make shoe like that!"

"This was surely the best experience I've had learning a craft"

"I wanted the most thorough lesson in shoemaking...this course was wonderful, everything I expected and more"

“…it was an eye opening experience for me. Definitely interesting to see how much work goes into a pair of handmade shoes and I’m going to treat shoes and shoemakers with newfound respect from now on“.

“I really enjoyed the course. It has been a great experience going through the different steps and to end up with a pair of shoes made entirely with my hands. It is really amazing!!”

“Wonderful would be the first comment that springs to mind. I certainly felt a little deflated when I had to go back to my normal life”

“Thank you both for your patience and positivity throughout. I enjoyed it immensely. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life and may have altered my life’s trajectory”

From Old Street walk north up the City Road (you will pass Moorfields Eye Hospital on your left hand side). At The Shepherdess Cafe turn right and immediately right again into the cobbled street next to The Eagle pub. Walk down the left hand side, past the large metal gates to a small black metal security gate. Press for 50 on the kaypad on the left hand side of the gate.
