Leyton Orient's Brisbane Road stadium was built in 1937, after several previous stadiums the club had played at. The ground has 3 grass banks, and a small wooden stand, where the East Stand now sits. In 1938, redevelopment began. All three grass banks were removed and replaced with new stands, which lived until 2004. A grandstand was also built, which still exists. The stadium remained unchanged for several years, until Barry Hearn took over. The south terrace was replaced by a smart looking stand, and the West stand was also replaced. The north terrace was demolished, but that part of the stadium is still undeveloped. In every corner of the ground there are flats, which are still being built. Several Orient fans, including myself, disagree with these flats. Hundreds of Orient fans avoid going to Brisbane Rd. due to Mr. Hearns developments, and there are several rumours lurking about the future of the stadium.
