Waterstone's Piccadilly is situated in the heart of London's West End. Now Europe's largest bookshop, it was once home to the renowned department store Simpson's; an admired landmark of London's architecture, and the inspiration for the much-loved television programme 'Are You Being Served'.

Waterstone's Piccadilly opened its doors in September 1999 and has eight floors open to the public, six of which are dedicated to books. With 150,000 titles in stock and over eight and a half miles of shelving, you should be able to locate just what you are looking for, and if help is needed our expert booksellers are always on hand.

We have a dedicated events space that has hosted authors from Germaine Greer to Jasper Fforde and Eoin Colfer to Axel Scheffler and the Gruffalo. In the last few years we have hosted signings for President Clinton, Sir Paul McCartney, David Beckham, Little Britain, and Hillary Clinton. To find out who will be coming in over the next month please see the link below.

The event space on the sixth floor with its wonderful views across London is available to hire for seminars, conferences or launches. Please contact us at: for more information.

Whether you want to meet your favourite author, browse for the perfect book, enjoy a coffee in Costa, a cocktail in the 5th View bar, or even book a holiday with Trailfinders.
