About

Much work has been done on New Lodge in recent years, making it a much improved stadium.

Much work remains to be done, but the opening of the refitted clubhouse in 2005 was a major step forward. As well as a much enlarged bar, the clubhouse now includes new ladies and disabled toilets.

There is some car-parking available in the lower carpark, though this tends to fill up rapidly on match-days. If full then there is plenty of space to park in the roads at the top of Blunts Wall Road, though we do ask all supporters to show consideration for our neighbours.

Entrance to the ground on matchdays is obtained via the turnstiles (1). Near the turnstiles are the Billericay Club Shop (2) and Programme Hut (3). Most of the perimeter of the pitch is now surrounded by covered stands, a mixture of seating and terracing. There is an area on the far side of the ground that is suitable for supporters in wheelchairs.

The clubhouse is generally open to all supporters, and has a sizeable capacity. The bar is open before and after the match, and at half time though not during the action.

The buffet bar is open throughout serving hot food and drink, but tends to get busy in the run-up to half time.

directions
New Lodge is located on the outskirts of the Town, with good access from major roads and railway. By Road From Brentwood/M25(North) Leave the M25 at the junction with the A12 (J28) and take the A1023 through Brentwood. When you get to Shenfield take the A129 towards Billericay. Alternatively on leaving the M25 continue down the A12 towards Chelmsford until you reach the next exit (Mountnessing). At the roundabout take the first exit (turn left) then take the first right (just after the scrap yard). Continue along this route until you reach a mini-roundabout. Turn left, then you are on the road into Billericay. Note there is a height restriction of 13'3" on this route. Both of these routes will bring you into Billericay on the same route. On entering Billericay turn right at the first set of traffic lights (near the Texaco Garage). Blunts Wall Lane is a little way along on the right. From Basildon/A127/M25 (South) From the M25 (J29) take the A127 to the Basildon/Billericay (A176) turn-off, (junction after the Old Fortune of War roundabout). Take second exit at roundabout (Billericay is signposted). Then straight over (2nd exit) at the next roundabout. Continue along that road until you enter Billericay. At the first roundabout take the first available exit. At the next roundabout (with Billericay School on your left) go straight over (1st exit). At yet another roundabout!, turn left into the one-way system. Keep in the left-hand lane and go straight over roundabout. At first set of lights, turn left. Blunts Wall Road is the second turning on your right. From Wickford Take the A129 to Billericay. Follow road all the way into Billericay to one-way system. Keep in the left-hand lane and go straight over roundabout. At first set of lights, turn left. Blunts Wall Road is the second turning on your right. From Southend Take A127 to Basildon/Billericay (A176) turn-off. Turn left at first roundabout going under A127. Follow directions as per from Basildon. From Chelmsford Take the B1007 to Billericay going through Stock. Follow road until you come to the edge of Billericay High Street (going over Railway Bridge). Pass both the Crown Pub (on your left) and Railway Pub (on your right), immediately after turn right at traffic lights. Follow road until next set of lights going straight over. Blunts Wall Road is the second turning on your right. By Rail Billericay is located on the Liverpool St.-Southend Victoria line, trains run approx every 20 mins on most days. Billericay Town Football Club is approximately 25 minutes walk from the station. On leaving the station turn right into Radford way. At the top of the road turn right, crossing the Railway line by the footbridge. Then turn right again at the bottom of the High St. into Western Road. Walk the full length of Western Road, then cross over at the traffic lights into Tye Common Rd. Blunts Wall Lane is a little way along on the right. Note Mayflower taxis are located just outside the station and will transport you to the ground for a modest fee (I think about £3).
