With a young and talented cast, this ground breaking production presents the history of gospel music from its origins in slavery through to the present day. Performed in September 2007 and February 2008 to sold out audiences, this little known story is woven into the lives of three generations of a West Indian family living in Britain. Vocals are provided by some of the best gospel singers in the UK today with special guest appearances from Shirley Fenty-Ashley, the First Lady of UK gospel who appears as herself; singer/songwriter Marsha Garrick who plays Blossom Cumberbatch; Gospel Rapper Otis Trezel who plays Leon Cumberbatch and Holy Hip Hop artists Divine SLK who appear as themselves.. Using superb dance routines, a live band and plenty of comedic drama, this production will excite, entertain and inform its audience. This is a story for every generation and is simply not to be missed!
