The Shaw Society present a SHAW2020 production of VILLAGE WOOING a comedietta for two voices By Bernard Shaw
Directed by Jonas Cemm
with Paul Thomas as "A" & Maryann O'Brien as 'Z'

Written in 1933 and first performed in 1934. Village Wooing has only two characters, the first scene takes place aboard a liner, the second in a village shop. The characters are known only as "A" and "Z". The play was said to be inspired by Shaw’s long friendship with the postmistress at Ayot St Lawrence, Jisbella Lyth

The performance will be followed by a discussion with the actors and director.

Suggested donation at the door: members £10, guests £12.
