Popular production company Nadines Window returns with another sure-fire success. This Happy Breed is one of the very few Coward plays to deal entirely with domestic events outside an upper-class or middle-class setting.
The action of the play is centred on the fortunes of the working class Gibbons family. It spans their lives from 1919 when Frank and Ethel, along with their family move to Clapham Common,to 1939 when world war two is looming. The respectable working-class home with its commoness, its sterling qualities and its humours is vividly depicted by the fine writing of Noel Coward.
