About this event
Cost £8 / £6 conc. / £10 on the door
The return of one of The Cockpit's most recent successes.

Following the acclaim awarded to King Antac Productions, premiere staged reading on February 12th 2014, we present the much requested second performance of Seminal Poet / Playwright / Polemicist; Heathcote Williams' latest play; his first in over 20 years.

Detailing the life, work and death of Christopher Marlowe, the play uses language and ideas as potent as any in theatre to expose key origins and political secrets lying behind contemporary British culture.

Called the most notorious early modern bad boy and a cross between Oscar Wilde and Jack the Ripper, Kit Marlowe was a gay spy ensnared by the Tudor State, an anarchist Atheist and subversive blasphemer, murdered at 29 by powers and persons unknown.
