Tabletop Games is an intriguing new play by Ian Kendall and is directed by Jules Woodman. Wild Edric Media is a Midlands based theatre company who are touring this production this Spring.

A Stranger, a Savior, a Sacrifice.

A tabletop football game in a café at a dreary seaside town out of season would seem to be an unlikely place to address one of the most important global problems of our time. Whether you worship God, football or the latest X Factor celebrity, one question is clear…is religion killing faith?

Tabletop Games depicts a world where ritual takes precedence over belief or faith, and where moral ambivalence reduces human relationships to a series of brutal power struggles. Stripped of sentiment and empathy, the desperate need to assert control makes the characters powerless subjects (or objects…?) within the vicious cycle of life.
