A WINDOW ON THE WORLD OF THE YOUNG TENNESSEE WILLIAMS

A chance to enjoy the early drafts of two of the greatest plays ever created for the stage, together with two lesser known 'curiosities' written by one of America's most prolific dramatists.
The London Theatre Workshop presents a celebration of Tennessee Williams, including early and rarely seen drafts of the Glass Menagerie and A Streetcar Named Desire

This repertory celebration will showcase four separate one-act plays by Tennessee Williams, each evening.

The Pretty Trap (an early rendering of The Glass Menagerie); Interior:Panic (the genesis for 'Streetcar') and two short curiosity pieces; The Case of the Crushed Petunias and In Our Profession.

Using the talents of three directors, and a repertory company of six versatile actors, Four by TENN is a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a playwright considered to be America's foremost dramatist; noted the world over for his poetic imagery and masterful dialogue.

The Pretty Trap is directed by Ray Rackham; Interior:Panic is directed by Brandon Force; with Sarah Shelton directing two pieces: The Case of the Crushed Petunias and In Our Profession.

The repertory company includes Anna Kirke, Tanya Winsor, Lowri-Ann Davies, Jonathon Marx, Ross McNamara and Harry Anton.
As Terence Rattigan suggested .....watching both Interior Panic and The Pretty Trap is the equivalent of reviewing early renderings of Michaelangelo's David; fascinating in their own right.
