Roughhouse Theatre are thrilled to announce their latest production, 'Henry Walker and the Wheel of Death' will have its world premiere at Bath’s Rondo Theatre.

Roughhouse Theatre’s Shane Morgan has adapted writer Daniel Wallace’s novel 'Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician' as part of his year long residency at the Rondo Theatre. The show is produced in association with the Rondo Theatre and has received mentorship from Daniel Wallace.

The cast is comprised of Nina Bright (last seen in The Other Plans at London’s The Colour House Theatre), Ceejay Sargent (The House of Bernarda Alba Theatre Royal Bath, Sherlock Holmes Kings Head Theatre, London), Alex Stedman (Honest Theatre West), Madelaine Ryan (founder member of Moon on a Stick) and local actors Tom Turner (Product Displacement Rondo), Clive Linthorne (Twelfth Night Alma Tavern Theatre) and Dan Gaisford (As You Like It Ripped Script).

Daniel Wallace is best known for his 1998 novel Big Fish which received a big screen adaptation at the hands of Tim Burton in 2003. His other work includes The Watermelon King, his latest The Kings and Queens of Roam alongside his 2007 novel Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician upon which this production is based.

Roughhouse Theatre was formed in Sydney in 2000 and they have travelled the globe telling stories. They have been based in Bristol since 2005.
