It’s Friday night, it’s club night - time for Bouncers to come alive. The Blue Orange Theatre presents John Godber’s hilarious parody on night club society (think Broad Street, think the Arcadian Centre).
So come and meet the brutish bouncers, the boys on the pull, four girls out to have fun, the Hooray Henrys, the smooth talking DJ all set against the tatty, giltzy glamour, flashing lights and pulsating beat of the sweaty dance floor.
The theatre last presented John Godber’s play TEECHERS in 2012 to great acclaim.
Godber's plays are performed across the world and he has the distinction of being one of the most performed writers in the English language. He has won numerous awards for his plays including a Lawrence Olivier award and seven Los Angeles Critics Circle Awards.
As well as Bouncers, he has written Up ‘n' Under, April in Paris, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Happy Jack, September in the Rain, Salt of the Earth, Passion Killers, Happy Families, Dracula, Lucky Sods, Weekend Breaks, Men of the World, Reunion, Screaming Blue Murder, Black Ties & Tales, Christmas Crackers and most recently Crown Prince.
BOUNCERS is the perfect entertainment for the post Christmas and New Year festivities.
Tickets: £10 and £8.50 concessions. Group Bookings available
