Facsimile Productions are delighted to present the London premiere of 'Power' by William Stanton as part of this year's Camden Fringe Festival.

Gavin Dredge goes to Intelligent Wellbeing Solutions, a nightmarish privatised government department, to find out why his mother's vital prescription has been stopped, only to come up against a series of grotesque characters who stand in his way.

This is a fast-moving political farce about a society in which privatisation and its managerial systems take precedence over the values of humane thinking and public service. Engaging and entertaining, it prompts us to think about what is being done to the NHS and other public services in the name of profit and without proper accountability.

Writer William Stanton says:

‘Dredge is all of us. He’s every ordinary person who feels they’ve been shoved around by unaccountable people running increasingly complex and impenetrable systems and services. He represents that moment we all hope for, when someone walks in off the street and suddenly everything changes. He might be a catalyst for change, we hope for the better.’
