The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival is the UK's best-loved open-air Shakespeare festival, held in the timeless and magical atmosphere of the Cambridge University private gardens, was recently described in the TLS as "one of the finest events of its kind in the UK".

Cymbeline, the King of Britain, is angry that his daughter Imogen has chosen a poor (but worthy) man for her husband. So he banishes Posthumus, who goes to fight for Rome. Imogen (dressed as a boy) goes in search of her husband, who meanwhile has boasted to his acquaintance Iachimo that Imogen would never betray him. But Iachimo is determined to prove him wrong! Shakespeare’s masterful study of love, trickery, betrayal and ultimate redemption is played out in the stunning formal setting of Downing College.
