Charles Dickens' Great Expectations
adapted for the stage by Hugh Leonard

This Christmas the Brockley Jack Theatre presents Charles Dickens' best-loved novel Great Expectations.

The orphan Pip dreams of becoming a gentleman. With the generosity of a mysterious benefactor these wishes are set to become true.

But as Pip discovers, we can never escape from the past. When a terrifying figure comes back to haunt him, Pip's great expectations turn into a journey of self discovery. This classic tale, populated with some of literature's most memorable creations, is brought to life in Hugh Leonard's atmospheric adaptation.

Great Expectations is created by the same team who presented last year's sell-out Christmas production of The Hound of the Baskervilles.
