The Poor School's 2013 Graduate Season continues with a production of the exceptional Market Boy, written by David Eldridge and directed by Chris Dunham.

The play is a wonderful coming of age story based on the playwright's own experience working on a shoe stall in Romford Market in the 1980s. Staged at the National in the 2006 ithas been called 'a spectacular, savage, gorgeous yarn which brings a market jungle to the stage; a tale about the time Mrs Thatcher said we should embrace the marketplace; a story about losing your innocence - and your cherry'. It proves itself to be not just a remarkable and timeless play but also an excellent showcase for the diverse and talented graduates of The Poor School.
