Pentameters is pleased to present Paul Birtill's The Good Samaritan and The Death of a Hawker, directed by Conrad Blakemore, as part of its 45th anniversary celebrations.

Writer and poet Paul Birtill's work has been described as "Bleedin' fabulous" by John Cooper-Clarke and his plays have been "Critics Choice" in Time Out and nominated for the Verity Bargate award.

The Good Samaritan - Samaritan Mike is bombarded by calls from the obsessive Arthur Darnley. What can Mike do to stop Arthur's attentions?

In The Death of a Hawker, Jane is married to the brutish Maurice and lives a humdrum life of suburban servitude until her ex-boyfriend Peter unexpectedly turns up at her door hawking encyclopedias.
