Miss Julie by August Strindberg in a version by Frank McGuinness.

Directed by Roger Beaumont

Set on Midsummer's eve in the basement kitchen of a nobleman's house, we focus on the shifting relationship between Miss Julie, the daughter of the house, and John, her father's manservant. Miss Julie seduces her father's socially aspiring valet. But after the sexual thrill dies out, and with Julie's reputation and honour at stake, the relationship turns to terror, misadventure and bloodshed.
