AN UNUSUALLY TRUE STORY
WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY DANIEL BENOLIEL
DIRECTED BY TOM CORNFORD
OLD RED LION THEATRE, LONDON, 28TH JUNE - 16TH JULY

When Daniel's dad dies, he soon stumbles upon the mystery of his great-grandfather's murder. Determined to expose the truth behind his family's past, he travels as far as Richmond in an unstoppable journey, interrupted only for occasional YouTube marathons and a toy soldier re-enactment of the Battle of Passchendaele.

Then his fiancee asks him to pick up a pregnancy test on the way home, and Daniel realises he's nowhere near ready to grow up himself, let alone help someone else to...

Taking in love, life and death across four generations of fathers, this is a charming, hilarious and unusually honest account of one boy's journey to manhood.

Daniel Benoliel is best known as one half of comedy duo The Roaring Boys ('Five stars: hilarious' - Chortle) and as the voice of the Dawson Brothers' smash-hit That Meeting... sketches ('Very funny' - Guardian).
