Queen Pokou
a new play by Dean Atta

A Black Madonna, a West African hero or a Sovereign willing to do anything to reign?

A new play based on the life of Ashanti Princess Abraha Pokou and her legendary journey to create a new nation.

Written by Dean Atta (Winner of the London Spirit Award) for StoneCrabs Theatre Company, this new poetic piece of drama tells Pokou's story exploring her personal relationships set against wider historical themes.
