Jake is a successful novelist who suddenly can't write. Jake's life is a mess. The women in his life would like to help him sort it out. If they would all kindly leave his head he might be able to get on with it.

Jake's Women was multi-award-winning playwright Neil Simon's 26th Broadway play. As with most of his writing there are obvious connections to his own life but the play is so much richer than that. The play explores the workings of a writer's mind and how it can interfere with real life and vice versa. It also explores our emotional attachments to and guilt regarding unresolved relationships especially those with our parents and loved ones. It is both very funny and moving.
