RUMOURS, a hilarious comedy from the award-winning playwright, Neil Simon premieres in London this summer at the Hen & Chickens Theatre.

31st May - 18th June 2011

RoAm Productions in association with Madison Theatre Company present the London PREMIER of Neil Simon's RUMOURS at the Hen & Chickens Theatre, 109 St Paul's Rd London N1 2NA, Tuesday 31st May -Saturday 18th June 2011.

Director Rob Watt brings his unique vision to the world of 1984, highlighting both the similarities and the differences between the BOOM then and the BUST now.

The play opens in the home of Finance Minister, Charley and his wife Vivian on the night of their tenth wedding anniversary. We are thrown headlong into a high energy, hilarious romp as the guests variously attempt to cover up a suicide, become embroiled in rumours of affairs and even fall in love again.

Chris and Ken Bevans have discovered Charley in an attempted suicide and Vivian nowhere to be seen. Before the other guests arrive they decide not to tell anyone and concoct ways to cover up a potential scandal. One by one the other guests arrive, revealing a little more about this circle of affluent people and their lives as the plot ensues.

Written by America's best known award-winning playwright, Neil Simon, the play is full of his biting wit and rapid dialogue with in-depth character studies that drive the plot forward to its surprising conclusion.
