Giant Olive Theatre Company Presents

'Tom Jones'

based on the novel by Henry Fielding
Adapted by Ross Ericson

Directed by Edward Kingham

All the girls love a bastard.

Mr Henry Fielding and Company most respectfully announce to the Ladies and Gentlemen of Kentish Town their intention of staging Mr Fielding's novel, 'A History Of Tom Jones, a foundling' (Cunningly adapted for the Theatre by Mr Ericson) at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre.

The story follows the adventures of a young man of illegitimate birth through a tale of love, deception and mistaken identity; a feast of human nature, served up in the plain and simple manner of the West Country, but hashed and ragoud with all the high French and Italian seasoning of sex and vice. Will he gain his darling Sophia's hand? Will he escape the hangman's noose? Will he ever learn to keep it in his trousers?

All are welcome for their money. Whores, Mollys and Actresses only admitted if accompanied by a Gentleman.
