Electric Cinema
The Electric Cinema, located in Birmingham, holds the distinction of being the oldest operational cinema in the United Kingdom. Established in 1909, this historic cinema has undergone numerous transformations and name alterations throughout its long history. At one point, Birmingham was home to over 100 cinemas. However, The Electric Cinema has withstood the test of time and is now the last remaining independent cinema in the city. This enduring establishment continues to offer a unique cinematic experience to its patrons, maintaining its independence and charm in a rapidly changing industry.
