Welcome Tavern
The pub, once part of the Vaux Brewery chain, is situated in the East End of Sunderland, conveniently near the docks. Its origins trace back to the 1830s, however, the existing structure was built in 1915. A notable feature is the sign displayed above the upstairs window. Since 1991, the pub has been under the consistent management of a dedicated couple. Additionally, they offer takeaway Sunday lunches for their patrons' convenience.
