Sekforde
The establishment, previously known as a Charrington pub, later became a free house before finally being incorporated into the Young's pub company portfolio. The pub was constructed on land that once belonged to Thomas Sekforde, who passed away in 1588. The Sekforde family originally hailed from Suffolk, and the pub continued to maintain its connections with the region, particularly with Woodbridge, through inter-pub visits. Today, the pub is under private ownership and has undergone significant redevelopment. Despite these changes, it retains a traditional ambiance. The pub now features a separate restaurant on the lower level and a function room on the upper level.
