Fox & Grapes
The former Holt, Plant and Deakin pub, which was taken over by Bathams after the demolition of the neighboring Holly Bush on Bell Street in 1999, boasts a facade of entirely exposed brickwork. The pub's interior is divided into two distinct sections: the front bar, which exudes a contemporary ambiance with its high tables, and the rear lounge, which is carpeted and bisected by a real fire. The pub hosts a variety of events throughout the week. Every Thursday, patrons can participate in 'Quiz and Bingo' night, providing an opportunity for social interaction and friendly competition. Additionally, every Sunday, the pub holds a charity meat raffle. The proceeds from this event are generously donated to the neonatal unit, demonstrating the pub's commitment to supporting local causes. This establishment not only offers a unique and comfortable atmosphere but also actively contributes to the community.
