Debuting at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Carmilla is a brand new spin on a Gothic classic, retelling the lesser-known vampire tale with a McCarthyist twist.

At the height of the Lavender Scare, the mid-century moral panic which led to widespread persecution of queer employees within the US State Department, Laura faces scrutiny over her entanglement with an allegedly perverse and dangerous woman: Carmilla.
